Realistic Games has achieved another milestone in its expansion plans by obtaining a Swedish Gambling Software Permit from the Swedish Gambling Authority.

This decision follows the requirement set by the SGA, stating that all online casino game providers must obtain a license by July 1, 2023. The introduction of this new licensing policy aims to prioritise player welfare and maintain the integrity of the Swedish gaming industry. This license allows Realistic to provide content to the Swedish market for the next 5 years.

Realistic has had an active presence in the Swedish market for several years now and so the license helps reaffirm our commitment to expanding in various regulated markets globally. The Scandinavian region is known for its strict regulatory framework, as its main focus is to safeguard players. This is why by securing a new permit, we are strengthening our position in the market.

“Our dedication to upholding compliance standards remains a fundamental aspect of our strategy, extending to all areas where our content is made available,” says Jonny Bennet, COO of Realistic Games. “Therefore, we are thrilled to maintain our unwavering support for the regulated industry in Sweden.”

Currently we’re licensed by the Gibraltar Gambling Commission, Great Britain Gambling Commission and Romanian National Gambling Office. We also have a Malta Gambling Authority (Notice of Recognition) license. Plus, our games are certified in the UK, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Malta, Alderney, Romania, Philippines and Croatia.
